The Aerial Recovery Special Operations Advanced Reconnaissance(SOAR) Team and our partners, the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), continue to combine efforts to not just identify, but find solutions to problems associated with the flooding in Pakistan. The teams are focused on the hardest to reach areas where families are isolated or haven chosen to stay cut off due to the need to tend to livestock (water buffalo, cow, donkey and camels), as they are most of the rural people’s livelihoods. The team continues to provide assistance by way of food and water distributions to remote and isolated communities cut off due to the high water. Approximately 33 million people—one in seven Pakistanis—have been impacted by this catastrophic flooding, leaving over 1,100 dead (including more than 300 children) and $10 billion in damages in a country still reeling from decades of economic turmoil. Aerial Recovery Special Operations Advanced Reconnaissance (SOAR) Team deployed to the region on 31 August 2022 with our partners Global...
